Of all the names being thrown about for a new potential head coach, I have only heard Chris Petersen of Boise State's name mentioned here and there and I'm wondering why he's shouldn't be considered as a serious contender.
I know, I know, he coaches in one the weakest leagues in the nation but still, if you've watched any of Boise State's games, you will see that this guy has really put together a dynamic offense. They run some unique formations and he has done wonders with only average players.
His record at Boise over two years is 23-3 and most everyone remembers what he did to Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
There would definitely be a roll of the dice involved but considering the fact that there are no shinning stars on the horizon, it may be worth the chance. Remember that no one really knew who Urban Meyers was just a few short years ago.
So, I guess I'm asking, why shouldn't JJ really give this guy a serious look?
