We Needed One More Play

We were one play away from winning Saturday. I am not referring solely to the hail mary attempt. Rather, throughout the course of the game, at least beyond the point that it was 14 - 0, we needed to make one more play. One more play on any down would have improved our chances of winning; one more at just the right time, or with a good enough result, would have ensured victory.

I am proud of our team and our coaches. Saturday was a challenege. And to have prepared and executed well enough to come up just one play short is a commendable accomplishment. That is not a moral victory - it is the reality.

Now, we have a bowl game to which to look forward. Our guys earned an encore by their performance this season. I saw one projection that had us playing Miami in Nashville. That could be fun.
