Chris Todd Reestablished Himself Last Night

Stay connected for news and updates

Chris Todd threw his first interception last night, at possibly the worst time in the game. It came when WVU was just waiting for yet another big play to put us away early. Chris Todd threw some 'lame ducks' last night. He threw off of his back foot several times. He gave us some nervous moments for sure.

But what he also did, along with the AU defense, was win the game for us last night. Todd threw for 4 tds and nearly 300 yards (maybe he did clear 300 my memory escapes me at the time). His touchdown passes were very difficult throws. He showed overall good pocket presence last night. He moved pretty well. He managed the game for us about as well as he could have. He gave us our biggest QB performance in years and right when we needed it. Overall, I was proud to call him my own. I think his performance last night went a long way to strengthening his faith from the AU nation.

I'm excited by this football team, and by our coaches. I hope we fix the mistakes form this week and show up for the Ball State game next week a polished, practiced, well prepared team.

War Eagle everybody, it looks like the wild times are just getting under way here on the Plains!
