Brantley Will Not Start Against Auburn

The Gators will be arriving at Jordan Hare without their starting QB John Brantley. SI.com confirms this here:

What will this do for the gameplan of Ted Roof's D? According to the article freshman Jacoby Brissett will be taking reps as the starter in practice, but fellow freshman Jeff Driskel may also be used in the game against the Tigers. Brissett subbed in for Brantley against the #1 ranked LSU Tigers and went a decent 8-14 with 1 TD and 2 INTs. Also, this season Driskel has completed a measly 44% of his passes with only 73 yards, 0 TDs and 2 INTs. Whatever happens, Roof better be able to coach up the Tiger secondary to shut these two freshman down. They also must be ready for anything as Florida OC Charlie Weis may change up the game plan for this week. It seems as though the storyline heading into the game will be about the two teams with QB situations. Hopefully the Tigers show Muschamp what he's been missing out on the past four years. Go Tigers!
