Auburn defenders Demetruce McNeal, Cassanova McKinzy and Jonathon Mincy tackle Vandy's Zac Stacy and force a turnover late in the second half at Vandy. - Todd Van Emst

Which defensive players stood out against Vanderbilt?

Auburn began a bit of a youth movement this past week, with some younger players getting extended playing time. True freshman Cassanova McKinzy saw significant playing time at middle linebacker and led the team in tackles. While the defense did give up some big plays and 382 total yards to Vanderbilt, the Tigers held the 'Dores to 17 points. These defenders led the way for Auburn's efforts against Vandy.

Cassanova McKinzy - 12 total tackles (7 solo), 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 1 QB hurry

Demetruce McNeal - 12 total tackles (6 solo)

Jonathon Mincy - 7 total tackles (4 solo), 1 tackle for loss, 1 pass breakup
