Hunter Morris and Ty Kelly Named to All-Star Teams
Two former Auburn baseball players have been selected to play in their respective league's All-Star Games next Tuesday night. Ty Kelley has been selected for the Midwest League annual showcase while Hunter Morris will play in the Southern League All-Star Game.
Kelly, was an undrafted free-agent signee of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim following the 2010 season, he has allowed just seven runs (four earned) for the Cedar Rapids Kernels and will be pitching for the Western Division All-Stars in next week's game, which will be played at Kane County.
Morris, a first baseman for the Huntsville Stars and a fourth-round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2010 MLB Draft is rated as the Best Power Hitter in the Brewers organization according to Baseball America. The Southern League All-Star Game will be hosted by the Tennessee Smokies.
