Why did I pick on Stewart Mandel?? No particular reason except that he had an archive on SI.com that was pretty detailed.
For your consideration, I offer the following:
1) Where did SI.com or any other news organization present to us its "investigative reporting" on this issue until after it was "known"??? Does this prove that media is dead?
2) Do you get the feeling that Mr. Mandel is riding both sides of the fence?? From my perspective it appears that so called sporting news organizations are now riding the wave of public sentiment. Where as before he was talking about the heinous actions of those involved now note that Mr. Mandel is on the kick that the NCAA punishment was too extreme.
What do you think??
Where is the accountability for the media?
War Eagle!
