Auburn hasn't released any information on such a possibility, but as Streaking the Lawn notes, this year's Virginia football season tickets feature a schedule of upcoming opponents. Included is a 2015 matchup with Auburn in Atlanta. Hmm. Update: We placed a call to the Auburn athletic department, and they would neither confirm nor deny the story. Update 2: Streaking the Lawn now reports that there is nothing in place between Virginia and Auburn and that those future non-conference schedules were drafted before the latest round of ACC expansion. So, it looks like what may have been a cool out-of-conference date to open the 2015 season has gone by the wayside thanks to conference realignment. Update 3: Brian from STL points out in the comments that UVa squelching rumors of the 2015 game should have nothing to do with ACC expansion and that, perhaps, UVa jumped the gun on the game's announcement with those future schedules. We'll just have to wait and see.
