The SEC's six teams is tied with the Big 12 for most represented conference in the poll. Southern Cal enters the season as the AP's No. 1 team. No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 5 Oregon complete the top five.

Auburn will play five teams this season ranked in the AP's preseason top 25 -- Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Arkansas, and No. 14 Clemson. Three of those games will be played at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Tigers play Clemson in Atlanta and Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
