The Bulldogs had high hoped entering the season, but a season-opening loss to Clemson and numerous injuries to key contributors quickly dashed any national-title dreams. With Aaron Murray at quarterback and Todd Gurley at running back, the Dawgs' offense will be a handful for Ellis Johnson, but Georgia is allowing 28.8 points on defense, tied for ninth in the SEC. However, the UGA D could provide a matchup problem for Auburn, as it ranks fourth in the conference against the run and 12th against the pass.
Last time out, Mark Richt's team took care of business against Appalachian State, 45-6. In the Bulldogs' last SEC game, they edged a struggling Florida team, 23-20.
KEY BULLDOGS ON OFFENSE
Aaron Murray, QB -- Murray seems to be the only playmaker who hasn't missed time this year. He's setting all sorts of school and conference passing records, and he has the ability to shred Auburn's secondary. So far this year, he's completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 2,477 yards 20 TDs and seven interceptions.
Todd Gurley, RB -- Gurley missied significant time due to a knee injury, and he looked badly out of shape when he returned against the Gators. But, he still showed the explosiveness we've come to expect, and he'll have two weeks of conditioning before he has to suit up against the Tigers.
Chris Conley, WR -- Conley has missed the last two games with a sprained ankle, but the Dawgs are hopeful he'll be back in action against Auburn. He's Georgia's leading receiver, compiling 418 yards and four touchdowns on 30 catches this season
KEY BULLDOGS ON DEFENSE
Jordan Jenkins, OLB -- Jenkins is a beast at outside linebacker, and he leads the team with nine tackles for loss and is fourth with three sacks. He'll play a key role in trying to stop Auburn's zone-read game.
Ray Drew, DE -- Drew will be another key player for Georgia in the Bulldogs' attempt to stop the run. He's second on the team with eight tackles for loss, but he can also get after the quarterback. Drew leads Georgia with six sacks, and he's second on the team with 11 QB hurries.
Josh Harvey-Clemons, SS -- Harvey-Clemons hasn't been the impact player Georgia needs in its pass defense. He was the defensive MVP of spring practice, but so far this year, he has just four pass breakups, 3.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry.
