Auburn went into Knoxville Saturday, and the Tigers ran all over Tennessee -- on offense and on special teams -- in a 55-23 win at Neyland Stadium. There were a few hiccups, but the Gus Malzahn's team thoroughly dominated after a slow start.
- How the hell did Tennessee beat South Carolina? Yes, the Vols are working with a backup quarterback now, but that team -- especially on defense and special teams -- is awful.
- Another 1,000 yard season for Tre Mason, and it couldn't happen to a better guy. Tre La Soul was fantastic against the Volunteers, carrying 20 times for 117 yards and three touchdowns.
- Speaking of fantastic: Nick Marshall. The pick six was ugly, but that was more of a great play by the Vols' defensive end. Marshall wasn't asked to do much in the passing game, and he rushed 14 times for 214 yards and two scores. Tennessee had no answer for role in the zone-read game.
- 444 rushing yards. This offense is a work of art.
- Auburn won by 32 points with only three completed passes. That's what happens when a team can average 8.4 yards per rush on 53 attempts.
- Two special teams touchdowns -- one via kick return, one via punt return. First time in Auburn history that's happened.
- 9-1 going into Amen Corner. Time to take this season from remarkable to special.
