Earnest Robinson, the No. 319 rated recruit according to 247Sports, has officially signed to play for Auburn. Robinson faxed in his National Letter of Intent earlier Wednesday.

Earnest, who played for Pinson Valley High School, chose Auburn over Alabama and LSU, the 2 other finalists for his services.

Robinson had zeroed in on Auburn early on in the recruiting process after also considering Alabama and LSU. Robinson was pursued heavily by in-state Alabama throughout the process, but in the end, Robinson stayed true to the Tigers

Earnest was the 46-highest wide reciever in the 247Sports rankings, and the number 13 overall recruit from the State of Alabama. He joins an Auburn squad that needs explosive play makers at wide receiver. He is expected to see the field early.
