BASKETBALL
Yesterday was basketball media days. I hoped to have something on the site, myself, but I just couldn't get to it. Bruce Pearl had a lot to say about his new team, expectations, pre-season picks, and he even weighed in on Gus Malzahn.
TJ Lang definitely believes the talent is there on this team to make the post-season. They'll have to defy pre-season expectations as the Tigers were picked to finish 11th in the conference.
FOOTBALL
Oscar Whiskey pontificates on taking too much allergy medicine while drinking, enjoying the bye week, and also on the Arkansas game. It's well worth the read, as always.
Auburn's defense has started generating turnovers, and now they're anxious to get more. It's become a big point of emphasis for the Tigers after not forcing many of them in the first three games.
Kevin Steele met with the media tonight ahead of the Arkansas game and talked about what his defense will need to focus on to stop the Arkansas offensive attack.
After 6 games, 88% of Auburn's offensive production is coming from underclassmen. I think that's a bit skewed because of when credit is given to QB or WR (when Sean White throws to Tony Stevens, for instance), but still the majority of production has been with the youngsters, this season.
How did Tigers in the NFL fare in Week 6 of the NFL season? Stop me if you've heard this over the last 13 years, but Karlos Dansby had a pretty big day. So did Dee Ford, who really seems to be coming on strong, now.
