A-Day 2014 will kickoff at 2 p.m. CT on April 19, and the spring game will air on ESPN, Auburn announced on Friday. And for the first time in years, the game coincides with a home baseball weekend.
"The crowd at A-Day last year was incredible and was a spring board for our success during the 2013 season," head coach Gus Malzahn said in a statement. "We look forward to another great turnout this year from the greatest fans in college football."
Last spring, more than 83,000 people showed up for A-Day and the final rolling of the Toomer's Oaks.
"Auburn is coming off a great season, and the spring game is a great opportunity to document their first step in a quest to repeat as SEC champs and return to the national championship game," said ESPN publicist Michael Humes in an email to College and Magnolia.
The weekend of April 18-20, Auburn baseball hosts SEC favorite South Carolina for a three-game series. First pitch on Saturday is set for 4 p.m. Friday night's game against the Gamecocks is scheduled for 6 p.m., and Sunday's game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
