Who will it be? Obama or McCain?
Today we put aside Auburn football to focus on something even more important than our Tigers. I know - it's a bold statement. But I hope we can all agree that country comes before football. Election Day 2008 is finally here. The only thing that's felt longer than this election cycle is the Auburn football season. Luckily for all of us, they are both about to be over.
I thought we'd run our own poll here at Track'em Tigers. At the bottom of the page you have a choice between John McCain and Barack Obama. I apologize to you Ralph Nader supporters out there. He didn't collect enough signatures to be on our ballot. We are a web site of laws after all.
Politics is something we generally stay away from here. We already have enough in-fighting about Auburn football to bring politics into the equation. But I figure, what the hell. Presidential elections come around every four years. Why not have a little fun with it?
I'm turning the comment section off for today only. I don't want friendships to end over this poll. So we'll keep it real and let everyone remain anonymous. I hope you'll take part in our poll. The line promises to be shorter than your polling place.
More importantly, I hope all of you take time out of your day to vote. I don't mean to sound hokey, but voting is a right that everyone should take seriously. A lot of blood has been shed to give us this right. Be sure and do your part. War Eagle!
