Auburn To Host Celebrity Home Run Derby

AUBURN, Ala. - An all-star lineup will be in attendance for the Auburn baseball team's annual Celebrity Home Run Derby on October 16. Celebrities scheduled to take part in the home run derby include former Tigers Bo Jackson, Frank Sanders, Hal Baird, Gabe Gross, Tim Hudson and David Ross as well as long-time Auburn fan and 16-year MLB veteran Todd Jones.

Gates will open an hour prior to the 6pm Home Run Derby and there is a minimum $1 donation at the gates to enter, with all money benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Lee County.

Following the home run derby, which will also feature current Auburn baseball players, the team will hold a nine-inning scrimmage.

Great raffle prizes will be drawn for throughout the night, including autographed balls and Under Armour gear.

Fans are encouraged to park in the parking deck or the new arena lot. However, all cars must be moved after the event is over due to the Auburn-Kentucky football game the next day.
