Auburn Running back Michael Dyer has been named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week by the South Eastern Conference. The honor comes after Michael rushed for over 100 yards for the ninth time in his career in Saturday's win over Ole Miss.
Dyer ran for 177 yards on 27 carries and scored his ninth touchdown of the season in the Tigers' 41-23 victory.
It was Michael's second highest yards total since he ran for 180 against Ole Miss in 2010. He now is in third place in the SEC in rushing and with 989 yards, is on track to have over 1,000 yards for the second season in a row. He has a total of 2,082 rushing yards in his career.
When Michael tops the 1,000 yard mark he will become the first Tiger running back to have a consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season since Carnell Williams accomplished the feat in 2003 and 2004.
Congratulations Michael and War Eagle!
