Auburn vs. Alabama, open thread.

War Eagle, everybody! It's Iron Bowl Saturday. Today at 2:30 PM Central Time, the Alabama Crimson Tide visits Jordan Hare Stadium. A heavy underdog, the Auburn Tigers hope to put together their first complete game of the season, and derail Alabama's BCS championship hopes! Yesterday, Bama's SEC title hopes were dashed with bruising LSU win over Arkansas. It's up to Auburn to knock Bama out of the BCS. The Tigers must stop the Tide, avoid turnovers, and find a way to get a few scores. The Tigers have not lost at home since the 2009 Iron Bowl.

Ominious, mostly cloudy skies will hang over the stadium, with temps in the 60s. A stiff breeze will be blowing in from the southwest, and that might affect the kicking games. There's only a 20 percent chance of a shower, but weather folk expect the rains to come after nightfall.

As always, we'll be here all day, cheering on the Auburn Tigers! Feel free to chime in, celebrate, cheer, or vent. We'll be here till the end, with the play by play. War Eagle! Let's hang Alabama by the sour apple tree!
