Jay G. Tate has written an article that is THE feel good story of the year.
What a great feeling it is to see these former athletes that were not able to complete their education, come back and finish.
Here is an excerpt:
James earned a degree in human sciences two years ago as part of a little-known initiative called Operation Follow-Through, which helps former Auburn athletes complete their academic coursework -- sometimes decades after it began.
and this:
"To do something like that with my whole family there was incredible," James said. "It meant so much to show my daughter that I finished my schoolwork. It's hard to tell her to be serious about finishing when I didn't finish. But I did."I'm just thankful Auburn still cared about me."
Take the time to read this in it's entirety, it is well worth it.
