This past Saturday, Auburn held it's Spring Junior Days event, and have already garnered some impressive results. In fact Saturday afternoon Coach Chizik received a commitment from Pinson Valley wide out Earnest Robinson. The nations 101st top prospect according to Rivals.com. At 6-2, 200 pounds, Robinson fits the mold of the two receivers brought in with the 2012 class, JaQuay Williams and Ricardo Louis. He was slowed by injury at Pinson Valley during his junior season, but Robinson still turned 30 catches into more than 500 yards and 12 touchdowns this season in Pinson Valley’s run to the second round of the playoffs.
"Coach Chizik had told me that Auburn would not drop me if I got hurt," Robinson said. "He was saying other coaches might look at me differently if I got hurt and could not play for the rest of my senior season. He said Auburn would show me that once I was a part of the family that I would still be at Auburn even if I got hurt."
How good is Robinson? We’ll he’s 6-foot-2, weighs 200-ish pounds and has scholarship offers in hand from Alabama, LSU and basically every major program you hear about on autumn Saturdays.

Jimmy Hutchinson. Punter 6'2" 175lbs. Harrison High/Kennesaw, GA #1 ranked kicker in this class.
Trey Johnson. Linebacker 6'1" 220lbs Central/Gwinnett High/Lawrenceville, GA a consensus 4 star prospect
Dee Liner. Defensive Tackle 6' 2" 255lbs Muscle Shoals High/Muscle Shoals,AL a consensus 4 star prospect
Interesting Notes...
Auburn's coaches are really pushing two distinct angles when talking to recruits this year. The first being the offer of a 4 year scholarship, that will not be pulled if the athlete does not perform as they hope they will. The second is that when Auburn accepts an athletes commitment, Auburn is committing to them, that their offer is going to still be on the board, even if they get hurt during their Senior season in high school.
We will keep an eye on those two developments, and see how that plays into the recruiting process as it goes forward.
