Even though it played poorly against Western Kentucky -- hey, that's what crimson-clad fans have said -- Alabama strengthened its hold on the No. 1 spot in this week's BlogPoll. The Tide picked up 88 first-place votes, compared to 81 last week. USC dropped from No. 2 to No. 3 and lost a total of seven first-place votes in the process. LSU moved up to No. 2 and ranked first on two ballots, including this one.
The ballot of the week certainly belongs to One Bronco Nation Under God, who ranked Ohio State No. 1, Ohio No. 12, Rice No. 20 and Middle Tennessee State No. 21. Those are just a few of the curious decisions made by the Boise bloggers. Oh, those crazy Broncos!
After last week's drubbing at Mississippi State, Auburn isn't even in the "others receiving votes" category. Sigh.
