Bye week? I don't think so. This weekend, soccer continues on the Plains, and we will even have Tigers riding horses. Auburn is going to give you Saturday off, but its student athletes expect to see you out on Friday and Sunday. War Eagle!
FRIDAY
Equestrian vs. Oklahoma State, AU Horse Unit, 3 p.m.
(via Auburn Athletics)
If you don't watch the video to find out all the promotions, just know that something called "paint a pony" is happening. Why would you want to miss that?
Soccer vs. South Carolina, AU Soccer Complex, 7 p.m.
US Youth Soccer Month continues at the complex as youth who wear their jerseys will have the opportunity to compete in halftime promotions and win prizes from Auburn Athletics. This game will serve as the annual Auburn Tigers kids club day. Those who attended Auburn's soccer camps this summer will enjoy this game as it is also their camp reunion night. Our local soccer club, the Auburn Thunder, will also be recognized at the match. Following the game, there will be a team autograph session. Admission, as always, is free.
Sunday
Soccer vs. Ole Miss, AU Soccer Complex, 2 p.m.
This is the last game of US Youth Soccer Month, so if you kids haven't worn your jerseys to a match yet, this is your last chance to do so and win prizes. Sunday's game will feature a carnival theme as well. Aubie will be on hand and the Auburn cheerleaders will be there handing out "AU" cheek tattoos.. There will also be an inflatable game, airbrush face painting, a balloon artist and more.
