Home on the Plains: Sept. 7-8

There is a lot more for Auburn fans to do this weekend than just watch football on television. The plains will come alive as the Tigers host tennis, cross country and soccer over the next two days. War Eagle!

Friday

Women's Tennis, Auburn Fall Invitational, Yarbrough Tennis Center, 9 a.m.

Ten teams featuring more than seventy players will be in action this weekend at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. Auburn will play host to Mississippi State, Tulane, Northwestern State, Lamar, Houston, Georgia Southern, UT Chattanooga, Kennesaw State and Louisiana-Lafayette. Two rounds of singles and one round of doubles will be played on Friday. Admission is free.

Men and Women's Cross Country, Conway Acres Farm, 3 p.m.

Friday will be the only home cross country meet of the season. The women's 4K begins at 4:45 p.m. and the men's 6K will start at 5:30. The awards presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. with prizes going to the top two teams and top three individuals.

Saturday

Women's Tennis, Auburn Fall Invitational, Yarbrough Tennis Center, 9 a.m.

Two rounds of doubles and one round of singles will be played with the ten tournament teams. Admission is free.

Soccer vs. Texas Tech, AU Soccer Complex, 7 p.m.

US Youth Soccer Month continues as youth who wear their jerseys to the game will receive various giveaways from US Youth Soccer while supplies last. Auburn will be hosting Opelika City Schools night as they welcome students, faculty and staff from our neighboring city. The soccer team is hoping for a packed house, as this game will serve as the annual "Cram the Complex" game where it attempts to break the all-time Auburn attendance record. Admission is free.
