Auburn vs. Georgia odds: Tigers open as 3-point favorites

Vegas likes Auburn by a field goal over the Bulldogs.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Auburn opened as a three-point home favorite over Georgia, according to Odds Shark. The Tigers and Bulldogs are set for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff from Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 16, and the game will air on  CBS.

Georgia enters the game with a disappointing 6-3 record, but two of those losses can be at least partially blamed on the large amount of injuries that have affected the Bulldogs' roster. They dropped a 41-26 home game to Missouri on Oct. 12 and fell 31-27 at Vanderbilt a week later. In both of those contests, star running back Todd Gurley was sidelined with a knee injury. He returned for the Dawgs' win over Florida on Nov. 2 and should be ready to go against Auburn.

Auburn's defense will face a tough test in trying to slow down the Georgia offense. Led by Aaron Murray, the Bulldogs' passing attack ranks second in the SEC, averaging 297.7 yards per game. Auburn's pass defense ranks 11th, as the Tigers give up 237.6 yards per contest through the air. With Murray throwing and Gurley running, the Tigers have to come up with a stout defensive effort to win the game.
