As students head in to what is likely the first week of tests for the semester, the home athletics schedule is rather light. Auburn women will be competing in basketball and tennis this weekend so be sure to get out and support them if you can. War Eagle!
Thursday, Jan. 31
Women’s Basketball vs. LSU, Auburn Arena, 6 p.m.
The girls will look to lift our basketball spirits after the men have struggled as of late. This is an All Auburn, All Orange event so dress appropriately. Halftime will feature “Auburn’s Got Talent” as various student organizations compete to win a $1,000 donation for the charity of their choice. Thursday is also Daddy/Daughter Date Night at the arena. Daddy/Daughter pairs can sign up at the game for free popcorn and drinks, a framed photo from the night, and a chance to compete in a special promotion during a timeout. The Tiger Paws will be performing throughout the game as well. For tickets, click here.
Sunday, Feb. 3
Women’s Tennis vs. Georgia Southern, Yarbrough Tennis Center, noon
Women’s Tennis vs. Alabama A&M, Yarbrough Tennis Center, 6 p.m.
If the Super Bowl isn’t your thing, spend Sunday outdoors, as the women’s tennis team hosts two matches. No promotions have been announced at this time, but we’d be willing to guess that the tennis team continues their tradition of giving away free pizza. Admission is free.
