Nick Marshall has officially signed to play for Auburn. Marshall faxed in his National Letter of Intent earlier Wednesday.
Marshall, who played for Garden City Community College after a year at Georgia, chose Auburn over Kansas State, the other finalist for his services.
Marshall zeroed in on Auburn after also considering Kansas State and Baylor. Ultimately, Marshall chose Auburn because of his familiarity with the SEC and his goals of winning a National Championship and the Heisman Trophy.
Marshall was the 4th-highest athlete in the 247Sports rankings, trailing Jeremy Liggins and Nickolas Brassell. He joins an Auburn squad that needs explosive playmakers. Marshall is expected to be given a shot at Quarterback, and is expected to make an immediate impact on offense.
