Kamryn Melton, the 539- rated recruit in the nation according to 247sports, announced his intention to sign with Auburn during a press conference Wednesday. Melton has been a firm commitment for Auburn since February 2012.
Melton, who played for Dothan High School, chose the Tigers over Georgia Tech, Jacksonville St., Kentucky, and Oklahoma St.
Melton has been a strong commit for Auburn, and has stuck with his commitment to the Tigers through the coaching change. Melton originally committed to Auburn on February 27, 2012, and participated in the 2012 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
Melton is the no.39 cornerback in the nation according to 247sports, and the number 19 cornerback in the state of Alabama. He will add speed and versatility to Ellis Johnson's 4-2-5 scheme.
