The preseason edition of the USA Today Coaches' Poll has been released, and Auburn is nowhere to be found in the top 25. The Tigers aren't even listed in the "others receiving votes" category.
As expected, Alabama starts the season No. 1 and is one of six SEC teams ranked in the initial poll. The Crimson Tide are joined by No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 7 South Carolina and No. 10 Florida in the top 10. No. 13 LSU also represents the conference.
With the official preseason rankings out, we know just how marquee a few of the SEC's marquee top-25 matchups in Week 1 will be. LSU and No. 20 TCU face off in Dallas and Georgia travels to No. 8 Clemson. Unranked Mississippi State will play No. 14 Oklahoma State in Houston.
Auburn plays four teams ranked in the preseason top 25 during 2013, including three teams in the top 10.
Ohio State is ranked No. 2, and No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 Stanford round out the top five. The complete top 25 is as follows:
