College football rankings, Week 4: Auburn gets some votes

Voters in both polls are beginning to notice the Tigers.

Auburn's 24-20 win over Mississippi State at Jordan-Hare Stadium finally earned the Tigers some respect from voters. Gus Malzahn's team isn't ranked in either the Associated Press Top 25 or the USA Today Coaches' poll, but it received points in both: nine from AP voters and 15 from the coaches.
