Gus Malzahn speaks on the issues of autographs and whether or not he would ever forbid players from signing them in order to ease compliance issues.
It is "possible" we may see suspended senior Safety Jermaine Whitehead return against South Carolina. I caution against getting excited over that, though, as it's pretty much been "possible" he could return every week. No one really knows his status but those around the issue. I'm not holding my breath, nor do I think it will really matter all that much if he does or doesn't make it back for the South Carolina game.
Concerned that Jonathon Mincy and Gabe Wright went down in the MSU game and didn't return? Don't be, says Joel Erickson. Both are expected to be back and ready to go for South Carolina next Saturday.
Pat Miller, meanwhile, is still questionable. Auburn isn't going to rush him back into playing until he's healthy.
The SEC has contacted Auburn in regards to Auburn submitting requests for clarification on a few penalties during the Mississippi State game. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly what the SEC said on the issue, as neither side is really giving too much details other than explaining the process and why it's done.
On the positional front, there are a couple of good articles at the Montgomery Advertiser.
First, James Crepea tells us about Gimel President's climb to being one of Auburn's primary defensive ends this season.
He also wrote an article on Braden Smith and how he is being utilized in a number of different ways - including at H-back/TE - in order to help out with blocking and just to get him on the field.
Then there's how Roc Thomas is seeing his role on the team grow. Cameron Artis-Payne is a very good running back, with very good numbers even as we look at how our rushing attack isn't as strong as last season, but I am still looking forward to seeing Roc get the ball a bit more.
Nick Ruffin is back at the Star position, where he got plenty of practice reps in pre-season practice when it appeared Robenson Therezie may not be eligible to play. He has moved over from Cornerback as Justin Garrett moves back and forth between Star and Linebacker at various times.
Finally, if you didn't see it yesterday, Bo Jackson has weighed in on fellow Heisman Trophy winner Jamies Winston. Bo said he tried to give Winston some advice and it is apparent that Winston did not listen to it. Bo is not happy about that.
