Per this tweet from Bruce Feldman, Texas A&M has backed out of a home-and-home with the Oregon Ducks for 2018 and 2019. With the new SEC scheduling rules, every team must have a game against another of the "Power 5" conferences every year with the new College Football Playoff. Auburn fans were very underwhelmed by the addition of Clemson to the slate for 2016 and 2017. This would be a perfect addition to the schedule for those seasons.
Auburn and Oregon have only faced off one time and I am 100% certain that none of you reading this need a reminder of what game that was. I've heard Autzen Stadium is an awesome experience and I am confident Auburn would take a good crowd of fans to experience that game. I don't know how well Oregon would travel to Jordan-Hare, but I'm sure a number of their fans would love this series to happen as well.
What say you? This is just idle speculation and I have zero reason to believe it will actually happen, but it sounds like fun, doesn't it?
