Watch List Watcing

Each week, we’ll take a look at how the Auburn players on watch lists performed on the field and who their competition might be.

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Cameron Artis-Payne (Maxwell)

CAP had his most explosive game to date with 167 rushing yards, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. He has 831 yards for the season and is second in the SEC in rushing behind Mississippi State's Josh Robinson. Thru seven games this season, CAP has had five 100-yard games.

Sammie Coates (Biletnikoff, Maxwell)

Coates had one catch for 14 yards.

Reese Dismukes (Lombardi, Outland, Rimington)

Line play was much improved in this game, and Dismukes continues to look solid.

Kris Frost (Butkus)

This will be our last post including Frost. Though he had a team high 14 tackles, he did not make the list of Butkus Semi-Finalists.

Nick Marshall (Davey O'Brien, Manning, Maxwell, Walter Camp)

Marshall was dominant against South Carolina, accounting for 228 yards (rushing, passing and receiving) and four TDs. He has now passed the great Bo Jackson in TD production. Marshall was nominated for the Manning Award QB of the Week.

Robenson Therezie (Bednarik)

Therezie recorded two tackles and broke up three passes.

CJ Uzomah (Mackey)

Uzomah had a quiet night and recorded no statistics.

Gabe Wright (Bronko Nagurski, Outland)

Wright had three assists and one QB hurry.

Notable Competition

QB Trevone Boykin was named the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Offensive Player of the Week after leading TCU to an 82-27 win over Texas Tech.
