College Football Week 7 Viewing Guide

There are a few good games on this weekend, so let's talk about what you should be watching.

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight consists pretty much of BYU vs UCF. That might have been an interesting match-up this time last week, but then Heisman trophy candidate BYU quarterback Taysom Hill suffered a broken leg in the Cougars' game against Utah State last weekend. It's still better than the NFL, though. So there's that.

Friday night will see Mike Leach's Washington State air raid attack roll into Stanford to face the #25 Cardinal. WSU may be 2-4, but they are still entertaining. In a losing effort against Cal last week, WSU QB Connor Halliday (who spoke prophesy when he said Auburn would be really good if we had a QB after last season's opener) broke the NCAA passing record with 734 yards and six touchdowns. The Cardinal boast the nation's #1 scoring defense. I have a feeling Stanford comes away with the victory, but it should be fun to watch.

Saturday features five games where Top 25 teams will face each other. #13 Georgia goes to #23 Missouri to start it all off at noon. #2Auburn vs #3 MSU, #9 TCU at #5 Baylor, and #12 Oregon at #19 UCLA follow at 3:30pm EST. The top 25 match-ups finish off with #3 Ole Miss at #14 Texas A&M starting at 9pm EST. Other intriguing games during the day include #7 Alabama at Arkansas (6pm EST), and USC at #10 Arizona.

Oh, yeah, and that Red River Shoot-out game is Saturday, too. Texas "at" #11 Oklahoma. Kick-off is noon.

Enjoy!
