Auburn vs Colorado Game Thread

Anyone out there?

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

That's right, it's midnight basketball. Hey, at least it's not 2am or 4am, right? Actually, I think I would prefer 4am. I wake up that early 3 days a week for a long run before going to PT with my Cadets, anyway.

Tonight, our Auburn Tigers are playing the Colorado Buffaloes on ESPN2. If you missed it, I wrote a quick preview of the game this morning. Chris Roberts also wrote about the Colorado game, as well.

If you haven't been paying attention, #SECBasketballFever has been rampant already this season. For instance:

#8 Florida lost at home to unranked Miami earlier this evening. Ole Miss was upset on a last-second dunk on Friday night. The SEC isn't looking too hot right now.

So you know what would be AUsome? If the Tigers were to get a statement win, tonight. I'm not expecting it. I'm really just hoping for a good showing. It's on the road at midnight on their body clocks and at close to 1 mile of altitude vs the relatively close to sea level here in Auburn. We're playing an experienced tourney team returning all their starters and missing a few key players on our roster.

But a win, tonight... oh man, a win tonight would be huge. It would also likely set expectations for the rest of the season soaring way beyond where they should be, but it would still be so much fun.

So let's get to it. It's time for Auburn basketball.
