College Football TV Schedule: Week 13

Your look at what to watch on this weekend as the College Football Playoff gets closer and closer (and closer...)

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Games of Interest:

Tonight's lineup is actually quite appetizing if you enjoy high-powered offense--and perhaps a little Big 12 wizardry. Bill Snyder's #12 Kansas State Wildcats travel to Morgantown to face a fast-paced West Virginia. Both teams will be showcasing Biletnikoff Award seminfinalists (receivers), so expect heavy doses of scoring in this one.

North Carolina takes on Duke in ACC action, but you won't see Coach K on the sidelines for this one. Duke is having another impressive season this year--for Duke football, that is. Should be an interesting game to flip to during the commercials for KSU-WVU.

Finally, we've got Arkansas State taking on Texas State in a battle of ferocious Sun Belt mascots--Red Wolves vs. Bobcats. No doubt even Gus Malzahn might peek at this one later on in the evening.

Friday night will include a set of 4 games that could be interesting. San Jose State--a team that Auburn handled earlier in the season--will take on Utah State. Ah, to be back in September again, when Auburn was undefeated...

Saturday, of course, will get us back to Top 25 action. Notable SEC games include #4 Mississippi State taking on unranked Vanderbilt at 6:30 pm on SEC Network--only notable if Vandy can somehow pull the most miraculous upset of the year. For the 2:30 game, #8 Ole Miss faces an Arkansas team that has shown some positive improvement in the second year of the Bret Bielema era. At 6:30 on ESPN, #20 Missouri will look to keep its SEC hopes alive as it faces a feisty Tennessee team fighting for bowl eligibility. No doubt Georgia fans will also be keeping an eye on that game.

In our state, it's preparation week for the Iron Bowl as #1 Alabama faces a 7-4 Western Carolina team, and #14 Auburn looks to gain back some confidence against the visiting Samford Bulldogs (both teams share a 7-3 record).

Non-SEC match-ups include #3 Florida State vs. Boston College, #6 Ohio State vs. Indiana, #7 Baylor against Oklahoma State, #9 UCLA against #19 USC, #15 Arizona vs. #17 Utah, and #24 Louisville against unranked Notre Dame.
