Auburn and Tulsa are meeting in the Heavyweight Bracket of the MGM Grand Main Event. The other half of the bracket includes Oklahoma State and Oregon State. The Championship Game will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 10:30 p.m. CT while the Consolation Game will tip at 8 p.m. CT.

This marks the fourth straight team on Auburn's schedule who went to the NCAA tournament last season. Tulsa tied for first in Conference USA during the regular season. Auburn currently has a 2-1 record in the previous three games against tournament teams.

The Tigers are coming off one of the best performances by an Auburn basketball team in years. They crossed the 100 point threshold for the first time in over a decade, and they did it without Antoine Mason for the second straight game. Mason is also questionable for tonight's game.

The Tigers will face either Oklahoma State or Oregon State in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening following this game. If Auburn wins tonight, they will be in the championship game against the OSU/OSU victor. If they lose, they will play in the consolation game against the OSU/OSU loser.

A win in this game and a win in the MGM Grand Main Event series would be a big boost to Auburn's visibility in the college basketball world. It would also be a huge boost to the confidence of a team still learning to play under Coach Bruce Pearl's system. The Tigers have been dealing with injuries on top of the new coach and system, and yet they're already leaps and bounds above where they were at the beginning of last season.

This is yet another late-night game for Auburn. The Tigers started with a 9pm CDT game, then played a 12am CDT game, and now will be playing at 10pm CDT. Thankfully this one will not be at altitude as the Colorado game was, though.

The latest line has Tulsa a 4 point favorite in this game. It should be another good one as the Tigers continue to test themselves against good teams in the preseason.
