Watch List Watching

Each week, we’ll take a look at how the Auburn players on watch lists performed on the field and who their competition might be.

Cameron Artis-Payne (Doak Walker)

CAP had 129 yards on 24 carries and one TD. The Samford game was CAP's eighth 100 yard rushing game this season and the tenth of his career. He joins Tre Mason, Rudi Johson, Cam Newton and Bo Jackson as the only Auburn players to rush for more than 1,400 yards in a single season.

Though he is the SEC's top rusher, CAP was unfortunately not a finalist for the Doak Walker Award.

Sammie Coates (Biletnikoff)

Coates had two catches for 64 yards. After a season-limiting injury, Coates did not make the finalist list for the Biletnikoff Award.

Reese Dismukes (Outland, Rimington)

Reese Dismukes is one of three semifinalists for the Outland Trophy (best interior lineman in college football).

Dismukes is joined by Malcom Brown of Texas and Brandon Scherff of Iowa.

He is not a finalist for the Lombardi Award.

Nick Marshall (Davey O'Brien, Manning, Maxwell, Walter Camp)

Marshall was 11-of-18 for 171 yards (1 INT). He is now responsible for 52 TDs during his Auburn career. He was not named a finalist for the Maxwell or Davey O'Brien Awards.

CJ Uzomah (Mackey)

The senior did not record any stats.

Gabe Wright (Bronko Nagurski, Outland)

Wright had one of his better games this season with two QBHs, three tackles and one for a loss. But, Wright has not made the semifinalist list for either the Nagurski or Outland lists.
