You ever look at something and go "man, that looks good." Well that's how I feel about today's TV Guide. The folks up at SB Nation worked their magic and have handed us down from above this awesome new format for the viewing schedule. Feast your eyes upon it's wonder! It gives you TV info and even links to the individual team blogs. How awesome is THAT?
Now let's talk about the actual games. Clemson plays Wake Forrest tonight. Soooo... yeah, that shouldn't even be close. Friday night's games are also big yawns. In Top 25 match-ups, we get one fairly early with #12 Baylor playing at #15 Oklahoma at noon. The next one is #10 Notre Dame at #9 Arizona State. I don't even want to think about fighting against Notre Dame for a playoff spot, so let's just pull for ASU shall we?
Perhaps one of the biggest games for playoff implications is #7 Kansas State at #6 TCU at 7:30pm. We need to be pulling hard for the Wildcats in that one. The more they win, the better we look. And I like that we have the head-to-head over them vs anyone else in the BigXII.
There's also #14 Ohio State at #8 Michigan State. I don't really want to do it, but I'm pulling for Urban and the Buckeyes. There's no way a one-loss OSU (whose loss is to Virginia Tech) jumps a one-loss Auburn. Michigan State as a conference champion with their one loss at Oregon, though... that's very possible.
Then, of course, there's #5 Alabama at #16 LSU. Our own Peggy Rossmanith will be observing this game in person for us. Pull for Les Miles and chaos. I'd rather have wins over a 2 loss LSU and a 2 loss Bama (with us being their other loss) than over a 3 loss LSU and 2 loss Bama. We need LSU to stay in the Top 25 to increase our strength of schedule.
The final match-up is #4 Oregon at #17 Utah at 10pm. Pull for the Utes! We need the other conferences' champions to not appear to be better teams or have better resumes.
Isn't this whole College Football Playoff thing fun? Now here's the full and complete guide...
