COORDINATOR SEARCH
Nothing new to see here, unfortunately. I do think a resolution will be coming one way or another on the Muschamp front by the end of the week, though. Pure conjecture on my part, but that's what I'm thinking.
You'll noticed I removed the "Defensive" part out of the title of this section. I did that because we may soon be looking for an offensive coordinator, as well. Hopefully not, but Lashlee would probably be a good fit out in Tulsa.
AUBURN FOOTBALL
The coaches released their All-SEC teams yesterday, and Cameron Artis-Payne and Reese Dismukes were first teamers, again. The second team included Sammie Coates, Jonathan Jones, Quan Bray, and Jonathon Mincy.
UAB WR Nick Staples is reportedly set to visit Auburn this week. If you're not aware, any student athlete who transfers from a program that has been closed down is free to play immediately. I'm wondering how this could play out though, as I've seen some reports and indications that UAB football may not be QUITE dead, yet. So what happens if it's resurected from the ashes and a good many of the players have transferred? Are they no longer eligible immediately at the other school? Are they required to go back to UAB? I don't know. You can be sure the answer probably won't be in the best interest of the student athlete, though.
AuburnUndercover as an awesome wrap up of how the freshman performed this season and who redshirted and will look to compete next season. And it's in front of the pay-wall! Go check it out and bask in the talent we have either returning for a second year or who will be redshirt freshmen next season. One interesting not in there at the very end that I've mentioned on here before: don't assume Jeremy Johnson is locked in as the starter for next season. Sean White is supposed to be extremely accurate and very mobile. He won the Elite 11 and has done things like this from 60 yards out:

How awesome is our basketball coach? This awesome:

Pearl was at the library last night at midnight handing out free donuts to students who were studying.
MISCELLANEOUS
Former Auburn great Cam Newton was involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon in Charlotte. He suffered some injuries to his back, but nothing too serious. He is expected to be released from the hospital today. Initial reports were that he may have suffered some more serious injuries, but that turned out to be just a long-standing NFL Hoax whenever a player is involved in an accident. The picture of the day came from a lucky photographer who caught that famous Cam smile as he was being tended to.

You know Cam's tough because he's been playing behind that Carolina Panthers offensive line all season. Hopefully he recovers fully and quickly. All of us in the Auburn Family are wishing you well, Cam!
Speaking of former Auburn greats, Carnell "Cadillac" Williams has returned to Auburn 10 years after his final play in the 2004/05 Sugar Bowl and will walk across the stage and graduate this weekend. Congrats, Cadillac!
