First, let's get to some good news.
At Tulsa, sources tell FootballScoop Balyor OC Philip Montgomery is expected to be named head coach today http://t.co/sNnVtz3C1h

Why is this good news? Well, because it means Rhett Lashlee is not in play for the Tulsa job anymore and the young coordinator is still on the Plains. Silly season is far from over yet, though. Who knows what jobs may open between now and the end of bowl season? I still expect there will be staff changes at Auburn, but hopefully we're only going to be involved in the one coordinator search this off-season.
In other coaching news that somewhat involves Auburn...
Barry Alvarez will coach the Badgers in their upcoming Outback Bowl vs Auburn.

That's right, Barry's back! His last official game as Wisconsin head coach was the 2005/06 Capital One Bowl in a 24-10 victory over Auburn. He came back for the 2012/13 Rose Bowl to coach Wisconsin to a 20-14 loss to Stanford.
One other very interesting story-line here. Barry Alvarez is a sitting member of the 2014 College Football Playoff Committee. Granted, the committee's work is done. However, it's still an intriguing story-line.
Here's to hoping his return goes as well this time as it did the last time.
What, you were here hoping for DC news? Sorry, I don't really have any for you. Unless you're into outrageous message board rumors like a dog with the last name "Muschamp" was brought into a vet's office last night. Hopefully news is coming soon.\
Although there is this parallel:
January 2006: Auburn plays Wisconsin in Barry Alvarez's last game. Auburn hires Will Muschamp as defensive coordinator.
