Sophomore forward Alex Thompson is back with the Auburn basketball team after serving a semester long suspension according to multiple beat-writers on Twitter. The first report I saw was by Alex Byington of the Opelika-Auburn News.
Auburn soph. wing Alex Thompson (@Athomp20) has been reinstated to the basketball team after semester-long "leave of absence," per source.

Informed last night Alex Thompson rejoined Auburn's basketball team following indefinite suspension. We'll talk to Bruce Pearl at 11:30.

No official word has been given on why Thompson was suspended. We have a strong suspicion based on things overheard when Thompson was speaking to other players the night Bruce Pearl's show cause was lifted, but were never able to confirm anything.
Thompson will be a welcome addition to the line-up given his size. At 6'8", and close to 215lbs, he can provide a welcome relief for Cinmeon Bowers in the middle.
