Auburn Tigers vs Winthrop Eagles Game Open Thread

The Tigers tip off at 8pm.

Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

Auburn is hitting the home stretch of the non-conference schedule with tonight's game against Winthrop. This is the first of five straight home non-conference games before the SEC season starts.

The Tigers are facing Winthrop, who beat Clemson, who beat Auburn. So who knows how this game will go? Winthrop won at Clemson, so it stands to reason they're going to be a tough game.

If there's good news for the Tigers, it's that Trayvon Reed has a few practices behind him, Antoine Mason is back and getting healthier, and Alex Thompson will be eligible to add more depth.

Oh, and there's this:

I hate it for the kid, but it does help Auburn.

Auburn will attempt to make this a good double-header as the ladies beat Savannah State tonight.
