Auburn news and notes.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR SEARCH

I put an update in the story stream for the search. It's just my thoughts on what's going on.

AUBURN FOOTBALL

Auburn placed six players on the AP's Post-season All-SEC team. Cameron Artis-Payne and Reese Dismukes were no-brainers for first team All-SEC. Jonathan Jones and Sammie Coates made the second-team, while Daniel Carlson and Gabe Wright made honorable mention. Glaringly missing is Nick Marshall. I find it hard to believe he's not one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the SEC. I would take Nick over just about any other QB in the SEC for how unflappable and clutch he's been. You can see the full list here.

Speaking of All-SEC teams, Brandon Marcello from al.com tells us why he feels D'haquille Williams should be getting more consideration for recognition.

Cameron Artis-Payne will be going to the Senior Bowl, joining Reese Dismukes and Gabe Wright as representatives from the Tigers.

In bowl game news, Auburn opened as a favorite over Wisconsin, though the line is shrinking.

SB Nation has a giant, beautiful bowl preview/schedule with info and predictions for all of the games. Everyone on the staff with the exception of Jason Kirk predicts an Auburn victory over Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl.
