For the first times since their separate incidents, Nick Marshall and Jonathon Mincy speak to the media

Below are some highlights from various Auburn beat writers involving Marshall and Mincy's discussion with the media this afternoon.

First up is Mincy:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Auburn DB Jonathon Mincy on off-season incident: &quot;I made a mistake. I&#39;m very apologetic to the Auburn family.&quot;</p>&mdash; Auburn Gold Mine (@AUGoldMine) <a href="https://twitter.com/AUGoldMine/statuses/498532653491294208">August 10, 2014</a></blockquote>

Now Nick Marshall:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Marshall: &quot;I&#39;m just trying to regain the trust of my family, my coaches, my teammates and all the Auburn fans.&quot;</p>&mdash; Justin Ferguson (@JFergusonAU) <a href="https://twitter.com/JFergusonAU/statuses/498534403803721728">August 10, 2014</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Marshall on not starting vs. Arkansas: &quot;It&#39;s going to be hard, but we&#39;ve got Jeremy. I stand behind him.&quot;</p>&mdash; Justin Ferguson (@JFergusonAU) <a href="https://twitter.com/JFergusonAU/statuses/498534683408629760">August 10, 2014</a></blockquote>

Note: Indirect confirmation that Johnson will be starting? I know everyone has been expecting this, but the coaches haven't confirmed it to the media.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>No Auburn players or coaches attended the press conferences of Jonathon Mincy and Nick Marshall.</p>&mdash; James Crepea (@JamesCrepea) <a href="https://twitter.com/JamesCrepea/statuses/498535752100478977">August 10, 2014</a></blockquote>

So what can we pull from all of this? Not much, really. This is basically exactly what you would expect these two to say in this situation. There is still no word on at what point in the Arkansas game they will be allowed to enter the game. The biggest thing to me is Marshall's comment on Jeremy Johnson. I'm sure everyone has expected he'll be the starter, but this seems to confirm that to the players it's clear he will be the starter as well.
