Update Barner: Sara is smacking cancer.

This post won't be long. I just wanted to share a few words from my mom in response to last Tuesday's incredible outpouring of love and support:

To everyone who helped raise my spirits last week--Thank you. Your spirt of support for me has absolutely struck a chord deep within my heart. "Always Auburn," never lose that. It's what keeps us together.

I also wanted to share some of the posts. This is what I was able to show mom when I finally made it home. I know I promised a collage, but with the words being just as important as the pictures, a slideshow lent itself to easier viewing. Plus mom liked the music. In short, she loved them. Each and every one. It got extremely heartmisty in our house.

She's done with her first of six chemo treatments and we hope to have this thing licked by Christmas.

Most of you have never met my mom, but you supported her just the same. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to and for you all. I hope you can accept my thanks. It's comforting to know that she has friends and family like you in her corner.
