Auburn Basketball Lands Yet Another Big Commitment

New, 3 comments

The Bruce is truly loose, and this time picks up a commitment from one of the nation's top JUCO players.

The show-cause is over and Bruce Pearl is already reeling them in for Auburn basketball. On Friday he got a commitment from 4* small forward Danjel Purifoy even before the show-cause was over, and then Sunday afternoon from 4* power forward Horace Spencer.  Now Monday morning comes word that he has received a commitment from JUCO shooting guard T.J. Dunans of Columbia State CC in Columbia, TN. Dunans is 6'5", 185lbs, and is the top JUCO prospect in the nation according to JUCOreport.com.

Kieth Niebuhr of 247sports has an excellent write-up on the free side of the pay wall about Dunans. Dunans' JUCO coach has a lot of praise for the young man in that article, as you would expect. It does appear that Auburn is getting a great player who will be able to contribute immediately in 2015.

It's getting harder every day not to get too hyped about Auburn basketball, but we all must remember that none of these three commitments from the past weekend will see the court until NEXT season, assuming they stick with the Tigers. A big improvement by the players this season will likely lead to one of the most highly anticipated basketball seasons in my memory on the Plains for 2015-16.
