AUBURN FOOTBALL
So this time of year, the major news is recruiting. That dovetails in with AL.com grading Auburn's defensive staff hires, since they've been absolutely killing it on the recruiting trail so far.
Just how much are the Tigers killing the recruiting trail? There will be multiple five star prospects on official visits this weekend, and a number of other four and five stars are going to be joining in on unofficial visits, as well. Hopefully later this afternoon we'll have a list of just who is in town.
In "now former" Tiger news, Sammie Coates is projected to be a late first rounder in the NFL draft in Mel Kiper's first mock draft. It will be interesting to see how that projection moves after the combine. I have a feeling Sammie is going to absolutely blow people's minds at the combine.
Auburn had one game end up in Sports Illustrated's Top 25 games of the 2014 football season - Auburn's thrilling match-up in Oxford with Ole Miss. I don't know which games or where they fall in his list, but from this tweet we can see there were some Auburn games that made SB Nation's Bill Connelly's 2014 list, as well:

Tentative top 10 contains 4 Hail Maries, 2 Baylor games, 2 WKU wins, and ONLY 2 Auburn games!
— Bill Connelly (@SBN_BillC) January 15, 2015

AUBURN BASKETBALL
The men struggled early and could not rebound against a tough Florida team Thursday night in Gainesville.
In case you missed it - and were wondering just how goofy I am - here's a video of me discussing Auburn basketball with CampusInsider.com.
The ladies meanwhile remain winless in SEC play as they dropped their fifth straight to #6 Tennessee, 54-42.
