AUBURN FOOTBALL

Most of the news around Auburn's football program from the weekend regarded recruiting. You can see the full list of visitors and our updates here.

The biggest thing to come out of the weekend of any solidity is the commitment of 4* Safety Tim Irvin. Irvin's commitment came after his official visit. He was previously committed to the Texas Longhorns. He will enroll in classes at Auburn on Wednesday and be available for Spring practice.

One thing that came out of the weekend is the report that 5* DE Byron Cowart, 5* DE CeCe Jefferson, and 4* LB Jeff Holland have said they want to play together at the same school. That would be a huge haul for the Tigers if they could bring all three in. It would propel the Tigers in to the Top 5 in recruiting classes for the year. It sounds like all three of them had a great weekend on the Plains. If you feel like wading through a ton of posts, you can read this thread on AuburnUndercover for highlights of the weekend.

One thing Defensive Coordinator Will Muschamp is emphasizing to prospects is his "Buck" position, and how he wants it to be a keystone of the defense. He is also looking for shut-down cornerbacks, as well.

CJ Uzomah has now been invited to play in the Senior Bowl. Uzomah makes the sixth Auburn Tiger to be invited to play in the game. He also played in the Medal of Honor Bowl in Charleston last weekend.

AUBURN BASKETBALL

Auburn pulled out a great victory against visiting South Carolina on Saturday night. They return to the court at home on Wednesday evening against Mississippi State.
