Auburn's football season is over, but the recruiting silly season is getting into full swing. This weekend is full of high school all star games for you to check out players who will be making a name for themselves in college football next year.
The first game up is the Under Armour All American Game at 4pm this afternoon.
Auburn Commitments
-Jordan Colbert, S/LB,
-Kerryon Johnson, RB
-Richard McBryde, LB
-D'Anfernee McGriff, WR/ATH,
-Bailey Sharp, OL
-Darrell Williams, LB
Kerryon Johnson will actually be playing Safety rather than running back in this game, but he will be a running back for the Tigers. Safety Jordan Colbert will definitely be one to watch, as he's earned a lot of praise during this week's practices for the game. Colbert is a product of my home town of Griffin, Ga, and would be the first Auburn Tiger from Griffin that I can honestly ever remember.
Auburn Targets
Out of that list, the Tigers are in best shape with WR John Burt and LB Jeffrey Holland. Holland may still be a bit of a Florida lean, but the Muschamp connection may really help Auburn, there. Burt has to be looking at what Texas' offense did (or completely failed to do) in its bowl game and then seeing what Auburn has able to do throwing the football in its bowl game (and the Iron Bowl) and thinking maybe Auburn is a better spot to land.
5* DT Daron Payne is the only Auburn target who plans on announcing at the game. The 247Sports Crystal Ball is pretty much predicting all Alabama.
