For months Auburn appeared to be set at the cornerback position with JUCO Tony Bridges and 3* Chris Westry committed. Bridges decommitted from the Tigers and eventually ended up with Ole Miss, while Westry decommitted and then decided to side with Kentucky.
Auburn has now returned the favor, taking Jeremiah Dinson, a former Kentucky commit, according to Keith Niebuhr of 247Sports. Dinson officially visited Auburn this past weekend, and named the Tigers his leader shortly afterwards. He is one of a number of targets the Tigers are pursuing in this class, and is the first to pull the trigger on committing.
That may be a good thing for him, as the Tigers appear ready to take any of the prospects they are currently recruiting.
Dinson is 6'0" tall, weighs 180 lbs, and is a composite three star according to 247Sports.
Auburn has a number of cornerbacks on the team, and returns the starters from this past season in Josh Holsey and Jonathan Jones. However, the Tigers needed some CBs in this class and want to take at least two. Dinson is an excellent addition to this class.
Dinson is the 21st commitment of this class. Auburn will likely still accept another six or seven commitments for a cap of 28, with five counted back to the 2014 class.
